The list runs to 74 ingredients. The one the formula is built around is the peptide Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate. Alongside it: glycerin, squalane, panthenol and aloe leaf juice for hydration; plant oils and butters including sunflower, jojoba, evening primrose, avocado, camellia, rosehip, borage, cocoa butter and beeswax; antioxidant ingredients including tocopherol (vitamin E), ascorbic acid and sodium ascorbyl phosphate (vitamin C) and ubiquinone; and small amounts of lactic and glycolic acid.

No. There is no retinal, retinol, retinyl palmitate or any other retinoid in the ingredient list, and we do not describe the cream as a retinoid product. If you want a retinoid in your routine it is a separate product — the next answer covers how the two sit together.

Yes, and there is no overlap to work around because this formula contains no retinoids at all. General practice is to apply your retinoid to clean, dry skin first and the cream over it. If you are new to a retinoid, introduce that on its own and give your skin time before adding anything else. If a dermatologist is managing your skin, follow their instructions.

There is no “fragrance” or “parfum” on the ingredient list, but the cream is not unscented. Botanical oils and extracts — helichrysum flower oil, lemongrass oil, lavender extract — are in the formula and carry their own scent. If you are avoiding botanical scent altogether, that is worth knowing before you buy.

Phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, supported by honeysuckle flower extracts and chelating agents (tetrasodium glutamate diacetate, sodium phytate). We make one cream rather than separate versions for oily, dry or combination skin, and we have not tested it on every skin type. The useful thing to know is what it is: a rich cream containing cocoa butter, beeswax and several plant oils. If that is heavier than what you normally reach for, start with a small amount and see how you find it.

We do not test the formula as non-comedogenic, and there is no regulated standard behind that word, so we do not use it.
